First of all I want to say thanks to all of the people who've been signing up to my facebook groups and sending me friend requests. It's always nice to hear from fans of the show and facebook is a pretty handy way for me to do that. But I've also been hearing from a lot of you that don't want to use facebook for all sorts of reasons so my boy has set me up with a twitter account where you can follow some of my less blog worthy thoughts and catch up with what i'm doing.
the url is http://www.twitter.com/ricodaniels (some git's already taken the username 'salvager'... a pox on their house). Feel free to follow me and i'll do my best to tweet or whatever they call it whenever I get a spare minute.
I've also been busy writing bits for a new book idea I'm working on. I can't reveal much about it just yet but as soon as I can you'll be the first to hear about it, it should be a belter when it's done though.
Now I'm going to do something I don't normally do and give my mate Gavs company a bit of a plug. it's called 'The Hemp Trading Co' and they makes some wicked clothing made from hemp, bamboo & cotton blends taken from renewable sources in factories certified to offer their workers fair working conditions (unlike the sweatshops like those that make all that £3 clothing for the big companies like tescos). The designs may not be to the tastes of all of the visitors to my site but they have some great politically concious t-shirts including one of the best t-shirt slogans ever
George Bush & Son ~ Family Butchers
- est 1989 -
but luckily for all of us that one no longer applies as of a few months back.
his site is http://www.thtc.co.uk and it's well worth a butchers (no pun intended). even if it's not your cup of tea one of their t-shirts would make a real trendy gift for a youngster (I know my boy has a wardrobe full of them and he's got his fingers on the pulse when it comes to this sort of thing).
until the next update, stay lucky.
